Default tming problem on warrior 350?

Is it at all possible to be 180 degrees out of time? My warrior has spark, fuel, and compression and the valves are set correctly. Put a new piston and rings in the bike and it will not start not even with a shot of starting fluid. Timing marks line up but I an getting some air back through the carb and wondered it it is 180 degrees off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sure; it's just a chain that turns the cam. You can have it one tooth off or a 100 teeth off or anything inbetween.
