Quad will only bump start

I have a Honda trx 450er and it will only bump start. Runs fine after that but if i let it sit for a half hour it wont start. The starter sounds normal... Im thinking its the battery. Any other opinions??

Check your valve clearance . You may have a intake valve that is not closing all of the way.

i had an old quad that was the same way. intake valve adjustment and the problem went away.

Might be the stator/magneto, my warrior would only bump start. I replaced it and fired right up.

Put a new battery in and nothing changed. I found out there was a decompressor recall for the 08 450er so i took it to the honda dealer. I told them to do the valves too. Keep you posted
