Welcome! Basically you have to eliminate the stator and coil as the main culprits as there really isn't a good cdi test in the manual. You have to ohm out the stator wires going into the cdi module . According to the manual on the 2000 model: Red to Green 1.6 ohms, Black/red to Green 446 ohms. Coil primary tab to ground 0.3 ohms. Coil secondary (plug end to coil tab) 6300 ohms. These measurement are + or - 20%. More often than not the stator is the main source of problems on ignition. OPT

The black one will for sure because it's the ignition kill wire on the cdi and grounds to kill it! As far as for the rest,I don't really know! Stands to reason they shouldn't,but you need to either test the other components OR replace the cdi with a "known" good one to test the ignition as the manual says. OPT
