Default Is there a way to test hand warmers?

I have dealer installed heated hand grips on my outlander 500xt last year (i dont think they are BRP) - they dont seem to work like they did last winter - if at all. Any way i can test them? Do they wear out? I read somewhere that the switches can fail, how do i test the switch. I have a multimeter and fairly good mechanical knowledge.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks!

By pass the switch to 12V. If they warm up with a jumper they are good.

Default Testing heated grips

I also found this article - mine are not hot grips brand but i doubt the technology varies too much:

HOT GRIPS-heated grips, hand warmers, grip warmers
