Default prairie 360

I just bought a 2005 prairie 360 battery is dead. so I started it with the pull rope, it idles but when give it a little throttle it starts to sputter and then backfires a little. then it just died. I started it again same thing. help

pull the carburetor off, pull the float bowl off, pull the jets out and clean them. also clean the needle valve/seat while it is out. make sure you can see daylight through all orifices and down the throat of the jets. i'll PM you a video.

before I read your reply I started checking spark plug and found that wire going into the boot broke in half and they just stuck it back in the boot. could that have made back fire and sputter? but it was idling fine only when I gave it throttle it sputtered. I checked the oil it was black and no viscosity. is the air cleaner foam had a lot of oil on it and dirty

"I checked the oil it was black and no viscosity. is the air cleaner foam had a lot of oil on it and dirty" Servicing the machine,new oil and clean the filter along with what Jaster94 mentioned on the carb might solve your problem on it not taking throttle.
