TAO TAO 125 Timing marks. Did I do it right?
Trying to get this atv running for a friend. It sat for a long time after the previous owner said it lost spark. I changed cdi and coil, and rebuilt the carb. It has plenty of spark now and fuel. Cleaned the head and adjusted valves to spec. I should have marked the timing chain because now I'm not sure where to line up the mark. Should the mark on the cam sprocket be all the way at the top with the flywheel at "T" ? I tried this and didn't get it to fire. I'll get a compression gauge tomorrow but wanted to make sure I timed it right being I can not find pics of a motor with this specific timing mark. I tried to line it up with the triangle mark at the bottom right of the side of the head but the valves contact the piston when I turned it over by hand.
