I just purchased a 2007 Rokata 400cc ATV for $400. It overall is in good shape. The previous owner said when he last drove it, it wouldnt shift out of 4th gear, and now it is stuck in that gear. It is a manual transmission. It will not start by the electric start since it is in gear. It has a pull start and that will start it up. When you press down on either way on the shift lever and hold it down, it puts it into neutral and you can rev the motor as long as the lever is held down. Any ideas? I have very little knowledge around ATV's.

Also, I can not find who to shift it into 4wd. I do not see any way to adjust to 4wd.....

Did you ever find the issue with this? I have a 250cc baja wilderness that is also stuck in 4th gear, not sure where to start when it comes to fixing it.
