Fuel and electrical issues.

The 86-89 Honda Foreman 4x4 was an amazing feat of engineering. I had one.
When you get an electrical problem like this, you are gonna have to trace wires and read the schematic. The way I do it is take off the body panels, pressure-wash everything, dry it out, and start following wires. Dirty connectors and bad grounds cause intermittant opens, but you have a short, so look for worn or rubbing wires. Dirt adds grit that sands off the insulation. An older ATV with lots of hours contributes.
Good luck.
