I think you're friend is full of it. I ran my 2004.5 Ram 3500 with Cummins Turbo Diesel against a group of four kids in a Mercury Mountianeer ealier in the year, and well, all they saw was diesel smoke.....

Ford is king, no doubt about it!! HMMM, what happend to the Camaro, oh yea, the Stang put it out to pasture, hahaha. I grew up around Fords, thats why I like them soo much. I gaurantee if I grew up around Chevy's or Dodges, I would be those freaks too. All muscle cars are kings. Nothin like old iron cruisin down the highway. Nothin like the sound of an exhaust tone that sets car alarms off!! My daily driver is a 68 Mercury Cougar XR-7. Gets a lot of looks. I got a pro stock hood scoop sitting on a full fiberglass lift off hood, front spoiler, rear spoiler. Hi-Po 289 at about 300hp. has lots of miles on it but still scoots. My bad weather vehicle is my dads old 77 F-250 4x4. Its loud and rusted out but everything still works. BUILT FORD TOUGH hahaha. Our pride and joy is my dads 69 Boss 429 Stang in our basement. The beast is sleepin. I need help tryin to get my dad to take her out and kick some major butt!!!!!

Well...the factory specs for my hemi list at 345 hp.....but I think that is flywheel, not rwhp. Most putting the hemi ram on dynos are 260-280 rwhp

The 5.4 DOHC thats in the navigator and other ford vehicles has 32 valves,, 4 per cyl.
Also read the specs <a class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.fordvehicles.com/Trucks/f-150/features/specperformance/#per" target=blank>here on the right and see 3 valves per cyl..</A>
