Weekend Warrior A/C
#1
We are wanting to install a second A/C unit for our 30' Weekend Warrior, but don't want to install it on the front of the rig where the wiring is because we don't need the additional cooling at the front bedroom. We need additional cooling in the box area and are looking for ideas or suggestions as to what other owners have done to increase the cooling for those "hot" desert trips.

We also have a 30' WW w/ 1 AC.
Here is some advice that has helped us.
Start up your AC early in the morning and let it run all day instead of waiting till its 85 in the trailer and the 1 AC will never cool it back down.
Go buy a roll of cheap egg crate foam stuff from walmart, etc. and cut it slightly bigger than the sky lights. Stick them in the sky lights. Its amazing how much heat comes in from the sky lights, all it is is a thin piece of plastic, no insulation. Also drape some beach towels over some of the windows(whichever ones you arent looking out, etc.)
Go buy a cheap circulating fan and put it on your kitchen counter by the stove and circulate the cool air from up front to the back, it helps(even with the ducted AC we have, the front is always cooler than the back)
All of these combined makes our 1 AC capable of keeping the trailer cool on 100+ days.
