Though the GMs do have all the neat little toys and gizmos (XM, all the cool little buttons on the steering wheel that who the hell knows WHAT they do.)
The bells and whistles that Chevy has on their trucks is exactly why, a good friend of mine bought the Chevy 2500 Duramax.

The satellite radio is very cool...I never listen to anything else. The buttons on the steering wheel are a bit much....I don't know what half of them do..except the stereo of course...and it's very easy to lose your odomoter with those buttons.

I just can't see paying for a radiowhen it's completely freeUnless, I can program what songs and or artists I want to listen too

I like it because it's commercial free....I can't stand listening to DJ's and commericals.

Not that I am a chev/gmc fan but I always thought the gmc was the truck with the extras and the chevy was the "white bread version". I do know that gmcs have like 12 more quality control items and have heard that parts that are in print for the chevy can be rejected by gmc for their trucks.

Weve got XM Radio in both the Jeep and the efftoofeddy. The one in the F250 is just a basic receiver. Mine in the jeep is a totally wireless and portable one that records 7 hours of music and has a 10 hour battery life. I use it ALL TEH TIME. To me just the choice and quality of the music is worth the $7 i pay for a second subscription. You can program what songs/artists you like and when they come on on a different station itll beep at you and you can change it. Reception is Excellent except for up here in the mountains sometimes. Thats why i got my XM reciever. So i dont need reception. I can listen to recorded music.

Sure you do pay for it but most stations are commercial free and crystal clear no matter where you are. And they dont play the same 20 songs over and over again like FM. Thats why i went to XM. I got tired of the repeats.

Worth every penny.

I WISH I had a CD player in the truck. Heck even a cassette...then I could use my CD Walkman...wherever it is... It's just AM or FM for me.

It has the really big stereo size...2DIN or whatever. Would make for a nice size GPS/NAV/DVD/etc unit.

At least it's not an 8 track then, it would be totally useless

Now a GPS/NAV/DVD/etc unit would be sweet
