I am facing a similar problem with Ford Ranger except I want to put a Bomb Outlander MAX XT into it, the MAX ATV is 8 feet long (my pickup bed is 6', even with gate down ATV hangs over).

I've seen those bed-extender metal T's that fit in the 2" tow hitch (which I don't have) but seems like there must be someone out there selling some type of platform frame, to create a flat surface the width of the bed at the top of the wheels of small pickups. I searched high and low but could not find anything.

Yea, I know I should get a trailer, but seems like fitting a 4'x8' ATV in the back of a small pickup shouldn't be that tough.
