The Duramax has a 3.5" pipe from turbo out. The problem with just puting in a high flow muffler is because the pipes wont line up so you end up with a muffler siting at an angle and it is difficult to get it sealed up tight when welding it. Plus when you do weld it the muffler has a 4" inlet and your exhaust is 3.5" so you end up trying to make it fit.

As far as the Edge you have a display that you push an up arrow or down arrow to raise your power. The same display shows you your egt temp(if you buy the Edge Juice). The kit ran me about $800 and the exhaust is about $500. The exhaust is from the cat back and its a Banks. I wont do an upgrade to a diesel without egt guages especially if you pull a trailer that wieghs mare than 15,000 pounds

My mistake, I thought you had the Dodge but that was others in this thread.I have the Cummins 600 and I'm pretty sure it's 4" pipe. My buddy has a Ford and did the Banks 4" exhaust and I took the tip to my pipe just to see what a different tip would look like and it fit perfectly. The Six Gun does have a dial but it's 6 settings that aren't really adjustable. You can set a few parameters I believe but that's about it. I'll have to look into the Edge product, that's made by Bullydog isn't it?

I'm going to jump in here to so I get notified of any posts on this topic. I have the Cummins HO 600 diesel. Would also like to know if there is a chip available and what kind of experiences people have had with it.

I sell and install most brands of chips for diesels. The Edge Juice works great and they do have them out for the 600 Cummins. The Banks chips are ok, but you have to reset for each power level when you increase or decrease. If you guys need a chip for your diesel, just PM me and I will see what I can do for what you want.

Too bad I didn't know you were here when I was deciding to get the Superchip for my old Ford, Gottago. If I make any changes I'll give you a 'ring'. Tks.

This is another great page for Dodge info.

DTR

The 03 HO necks down to 3.5" in the cast turbo outlet and is 3.5" a foot or two to the muffler, and 4" from there.
