Need some help, my transmission light came on in my 2001 Dodge Ram. Had the machine hooked up to it and it said, "Torque Converter Clutch Inductive Signature Malfunction" What is this?? Driving me nuts. Is this a big $$$$$$ FIX? What is this and where can I locate it on the truck. My truck only has 47000 miles on it. It seems to shift ok.. The light went off on its own for about a month and then came back on. I don’t want to reset it because I will forget about it. The code reading # is P1740. The transmission was replace at 20000 miles by the dealer under warranty. They said that the warranty will not cover the transmission because even though the new one only has 27000 miles on it, it pro-dates back to the original purchase. Bunch of crap if you ask me. I just wish it was a sensor or something like that I could fix myself.
