Proud to say i prolly have the wimpest vehicle in the post.
I have a 1993 subaru legacy towing a Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer which pulls my rancher and stuff around 1000 pounds. been towing for 35K, car is at 104k, runs flawless and gets 17-19 towing at 72mph through the hills of pa, and can get close to 25 drafting a semi
heaviest was either a 6x14 trailer towing a forman and a rancher and 4 5 gallon gas jugs, or 35 pallets on my HF trailer, both felt the same and the car did fine.
i feel bad for the guy with a nissan who needs airbags to tow a single artic cat. lol

Hi Teebone56,
We've got a 2001 Silverado 2500 Extended Cab, 6L-V8, 4.10 rear end. Tow our new '07 Can-Am Outlander 650 MaxXT with a new 5x9 utility trailer from Great Wolf Trailers right outside Long Pond, PA (just a few miles north from the Pocono NASCAR track). Custom built in just a weeks time. 3500# axle, 15" tires, 8 tie downs, crank on tongue, A-Frame construction, drop tail gate, 12" rail around 3 sides for about $800. The 5x9's at Lowe's & Home Depot are only 2000# axle rating and were $750. I got the extra axle rating so I could haul Pellets for my pellet stove in the off season. He has a place on Ebay and a website: greatwolftrailers.com. GREAT guy to deal with!!!! Highly recommended.
During camping season, tow a 2004 Laredo 27RK 5th Wheel.

I tow with a 2005 Ford Ranger Edge 4.0L extended cab and a 4x8 Trailer. My prairie goes in the trailer and my sons Kazuma goes in the bed of the truck. Works great other than the poor gas milage, I'm not sure of the MPG but I know it is not good.
I also have a 2005 F250 SuperDuty extended cab, but I only use that for work. I tow a 8 x 14 enclosed trailer and I also tow a bobcat and trailer (not at the same time.

I've got a new (1600 miles) '07 Tacoma access cab 4.0 V6, 5 spd auto 4x4. I am in the market for a toy hauler too..I did a "test tow" this evening with a 2004 Titan 20'. It seemed to pull it with no problem. It weighs 4200 lbs. The truck is rated for #6500. It also comes with the way bar kit and the stabilizer kit as well. Not to mention the extended warranty until 2011. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy it. I'll post pictures if I do.

ps. I'm also a truck driver. Very familiar with towing trailers.

Well.. I bought it. What a nice Toy hauling trailer it is.! Got it on Friday, used it on Saturday. Just NEED 3 things to get it really going. A tire for the spare rim sitting inside of it. A stereo system installed. and a generator. I'll upload some pix uploaded soon. I'm in the middle of switching my webhost.
