Trailer advice needed.

Like to thank everyone's advice and ideas. I believe wood ramps like Mud Slinger did will be the way I go. Jaybee you make a very good point on trailer strength and extending trailer. Didn't give that a thought about removing weight from hitch, yeah that would make it wag.

something to consider in the future, i pull a tandem axle trailer. i prefer to have the added security of 4 tires rather than 2. even though i run good tires, i don't need a blow out on a single axle and whooping my trailer full of quads all over the place. even though quads are tied down, i'd hate to lose the load. therefore, i run a tandem axle because the blowout would slightly swing the trailer but at least there's another tire on that side to take up some slack till i shutdown. i got quite a bit of an investment in them toys! but that's just me.
. glad to hear you got a plan, now, execute the plan.....

Yeah, I wouldn't get too crazy about extending the back, unless you are prepared to move the axle to get proper hitch weight. By the time you look at doing those mods, you might be better off selling yours and looking for a good used side loader (if that's what you are after).
