I second that last post. I've got a friend that had sp 500 HO's 'til last year and then he bought 2 new sp 700s. He regrets ever getting rid of his 500s. He says it has great power, but because it is heavier the power to waight ratio is very close between the 500 HO's and the 700s.

I know a guy with a 700 polaris and he really rides it hard. Hes in every mud hole and swamp and fyling down the trails. It is a nice and smooth riding machine with lots of power (not as much as the p650 though ). So far he has had a few problems. It wouldn't go into 4 wheel drive (something was wrong with the front diff.) and if he hits water at any speed it useless because the belt gets wet. Other than that its pretty tough considering what he puts it through.

Well I have 580 miles on my 02 sp700 and love it if you get a 500-600-or the 700 you well own the mud pit that for sure and nothing out there pulls like a 700.But in a drag race with other big bores the outcome isnt so good. There big strong monsters.A few weekends I lost a drag to a guy on a 600 but he was about 180 pounds and I go close to 275...Youd be happy with any one 500-600-or 700..And the best part on the side of the motor it says...made in the usa...

I have 02 700 and love it. I ride with all the big boys, P650, Griz, sp600. I can go anywhere they go and just as fast if not faster, except the P650 depending on the terrain. The p650 is a faster machine but not a whole lot. I have ridin all the other ones and for all around performance I will take mine any day. The sp 600 is very close in speed and power, I can only pull him on top end. the only thing i don't like about the p650 is the solid rear axle and the stock tires. The griz seems to have problems with a rev limiter in reverse in the deep soupy mud.
