If i get a tractor its gonna be a diesel kubota ~9-10k with plow.I can do a prairie 700 with plow and pull behing mower for~7500-8500.Do they work good?If so who makes a good one.
Thanks

Plowing will always be a tractors job IMO. But as far as using a pull behind mower, yes they work good. My friends is a 44 in 8hp. I do not know the exact brand. You do not NEED a 700cc atv to pull a mower or plow. I have plowed and cut grass with my 230 Quadrunner. Plowing is just a tad to much abuse IMO. It pulls it fine in low range, just more abuse than I am willing to subject my atv to. But I 'm sure the 700 is more fun to ride.

I don't think the p700 was every designed with competing against the work horse diesel kubota.
If you like the p700 check out Swisher's web site
I use a Swisher 50 inch bush hog pulled by a honda 300 4x4 and it works great but they don't make this model anymore.

Swisher makes good stuff. I have what is considered a finishing mower but they have trail blazers as well. They are well designed and tough.

I have a 44" swisher I haul behind my Cat 500 from time to time. It's handy, but no substitute for a real mower, especially if you have a lot to mow. Your thumb gets tired trying to hold a constant (and slow) speed, and quads don't turn nearly as tight as a small tractor or lawnmower. I've used the swisher to cut a few acres, but only when my regular lawnmower is broken down.
For the $9-10k you mentioned, that's enough to get a used JD 750 diesel mini tractor and mower, and have enough left over to get a 400cc utility quad. Best of both worlds.
