Default Mowing and disking with my ATP

I'm very new to the ATV world. I just purchased a 2004 Polaris ATP three weeks ago for use on my farm. I absolutely love the thing and enjoy trail riding in my 180 acres of woods. My question is this - if I use my new toy for mowing or tilling how do I keep the thumb throttle at a steady pressure all the time for a constant slow speed? On my tractors we always just set the engine RPM's or the PTO RPM's once and forget it - the governor takes care of all the necessary throttle adjustments when the load changes. With this little 4-wheeler I would have to apply just the correct pressure on the thumb throttle all the time. Man! That would hurt after a few hours.

I guess I should be asking Polaris this question but this forum is more fun. What do you guys think?

could always go with a twist throttal...but then the whole bumps and divits you would be hitting would cause you to tiwst your wrist and makeing it go faster. so in other words don know...lol

get a throttle extender, less pain in your hand after a couple hours, or make somehting up, if it starts in gear you could adjust carb so it idles very high.. just a idea, or use tape (not to safe) i dunno , i'm sure you will think of somehting
