Default 2001 Honda Rancher 350 ES

Bought a used 2x4 Rancher ES couple weeks ago for my mom.I thought the electric shift thingy would suck but that whats she wanted.I take it out every now and then to play in the mudd and the ES has impressed me.I still like gear shifters better. But for her its great.
I got it up to 52 MPH in a straight according to the speedometer.
Anybody had any problems that I should know about with this year model atv?

I bought a 2001 rancher es 4wd brand new and just sold it to my cousin. I loved that machine and never had a problem with it. We beat it to death and it kept asking for more. Even put a set of 26" mudlite mud tires on it and it handled them pretty well with minimal power and speed loss. Top speed I got out of it with stock tires was 51mph. Congrats on your new purchase.

Dang that honda 185 is clean to be that old.
When I was younger my friend had a atc90 with fresh fiber glass fenders for one day lol.We hit in a head on collision in a turn on a long trail that lead to and from our houses.I was on my honda 300 4trax and destroyed his new fenders and sent him flying like a helocopter blade.o the good ole days... My first atv was a Honda atc 70.I wonder what happend to it now...

kfx carnage
the 2001 350 es is a great bike except for the brakes, honda fixed all of the problems that the 2000 models had , the four wheel drive lockup has a lot to be desired but is servicable for the bike size. the brakes will get water in them and will require lots of work.

I have a 2000 Rancher tbat I bought used and I have to say that I ride it hard and have not had any problems with it. I love it...I will eventually buy a Rincon because I do need the extra power but I will always keep the Rancher around because it is a GREAT machine.

Brakes are a large fault of all honda utility quads. They all have drums and they all suck, new or old.
