i have never used it but i believe it is in the small toolbox at the back. i believe it is held in with a rubber band. i saw it once when i was putting registration and insurance card in there. if you cant find it i will have a look. i believe they will say in the manuel. the wife has quad at work, so the manuel is there also.

I recently hate the es, sometimes it wont shift, it just stops working. then I have to turn the key off then back on to shift back down to neutral then I could start it up again. the other day I found that went I hit the start button everything went dead. and another time I went to turn the key off and then when I went to turn it back on nothing happened. I couldn’t get it into neutral to even pull the recoil because nothing electrical would work. I had to use that manual shifter and to put it into neutral to start it up using the recoil. had to put it in 2nd gear and ride it like that home. and throughout all this witch happened on Monday the spedo hasn’t worked. it doesn’t tell me how fast im going. not ever.

Hey carnage...you have a foot shifter lever in your toolbox...it slips on over a spline on the left side of your bike....it's not meant to be used as regular shifter...kind of an awkward position for that....just use it to get in gear and get home....also, you do have a backup start...it's not a kickstarter, but a pullstart...on the right side of your bike under a little black triangular piece of plastic.

I have found the electric shift buttons don't like mudd or grit.If you ride one all the time and for long distances probably wouldn't hurt to carry a squirt bottle with ya to clean them out. When mine stuck I had to find a garden hose to make them happy again.
