Default cv joints?

does anyone know why my front end on my big bear keeps sqeauking? i am pretty sure it is a cv joint because it only happens when you put strain on the tranny. i just greased the cv joint too. could they possibly be bad?

Are you sure it's not in the shocks or the a-arms? (pivot points)

It might be the shock bushings. The ones on my Kodiak squeak periodically, especially when they're really dry.

I isn't a CV Joint.. If you have a bad one, it will give you a popping sound. especially if you are backing while turning, then go forward...
Is the sound a bearing RRRrrrRRRrrr squeak or is it more metalic sounding almost like a metal fatigue deal... if that makes any sense....

It sounds to me if it is under extreme load conditions, I'd be checking tranny assembly or even a ring gear... could also be a wheel bearing... You may have to jack it up and run it and use a long screw driver and put it up to your ear and touch the areas where you suspect it is coming from.

I see you are in New Lisbon, I just purchased 9 acres of wooded ridge land just south east of Kendall... off November road..... going to use it to build a retirement home on it and have a built in a place to ride...hope to get out there this summer...

i see what you mean by metallic grinding. i put grease on the shaft where it comes out of case. it stopped the squeaking but know it is more of a chattering sound now it is mostly when i slow down. so the grease helped but now it is a chattering. oh by the way that is a nice area you picked to retire........ if you need someone to bulid you a log home give country side log homes a buzz in mauston or in union center htey do excellent work.
