Default REAR DIFFERENTIAL

are there any atvs out there that have a rear end that is similar to a car (one tire turns faster than the other while making turns/power to one whee) = tighter turning radius.

one with a locking rear end would be ideal

thanks

All the ones with a solid axle (most of the bikes out there) have a "locked" rear end, by default. It is the bikes with IRS (independent rear suspension), thay have to have some kind of "locker" to keep both wheels turning.

The only one that I know of is the Polaris ATP (All Terain Pickup). It has regular 2wd, with a locked rear axle, the Polaris AWD system, and a switch that unlocks the rear axle, and lets it turn on a tight radius like a car. This allows the quad to be used on turf or in yards where you wouldnt want to tear up the ground in tight turns. There may be more outhere, I just havent heard of them.

The Kawasaki Bayou 300 2x4 has a diff that you can lock and unlock.
I had one and it came in real handy for working in the yard.
Tuff machine, it took alot of abuse.
