Default Utility quads are so not cool!!

Why do some people always mistake threads like this for some kind of hate mongering? This is just a constructive diatribe, so somebody thinking of buying a bike can read the thread and get some first hand advice from people who have first hand experience!

But, if somebody gets offended, to bad. People come to the forum for no BS information on what works and what doesn't, before they go out and lay down their hard earned money on a new machine. How many times have you seen somebody go into a dealership, get toatally BS'd, and come away with the entirely wrong machine? We owe people honest opinions and honest information.

By the way, you misunderstand if you think sport bikes are all about speed. What they ARE all about, is HANDLING!

I have a mojave that has front and back racks on it. I take it hunting along with my other quads. So, far, the mojave has hauled out deer, boar and elk. So, yes it can be used for hunting. Quit stereo typing. We all might have different types of quads. But don't we have them to get us up off the couch and enjoy the great outdoors? Who cares what your riding, Just ride.
I am not sterotyping. Just my opinion. So you have used your mojave for hauling out deer????? Well, lets see if you can do that at my lease? I have 19000 acres and alot of it requires a 4x4 quad to even get to many of the hunting places. Your 2wd mojave couldn't even make it to any of the deer stands because of the deep mud you have to go through inorder to get there. So, you see, that is my point. Sports quads ARE more one sided that utility quads. You maybe able to use yours on some lease that has no mud and deep ruts, but not down here. I ride what I like and you ride what you like, but all of this started by the goober saying that utility quads are no not cool. Just think if someone started a thread that said sports quads are so not cool????? So before you jump on my back or anyone elses, why don't you jump on your sport quads friend's back who started this sterotyped thread about utility quads?????????????????????????

Everybody here, hold it a sec. Notice the fellow who wrote the first post hasn't been back with any other comments? Of course not. All he has done is instigate a bunch of angry argument by making one outrageous statement, and now he gets to sit back and watch everybody work themselves into a lather over it. By writing one ignorant post he's bought himself three pages of free entertainment... so far.

You can keep amusing him if you like.

Can I do that too? Here's one: "Two strokes are really stupid. They foul plugs constantly, smoke and they are gutless." I can't wait for the big argument. Oh darn I forgot, I have to start it in a new thread...
Good to see you again. Sorry you had to go through the nonsense over there.

You want to know the funniest thing?????????????????

7540875048 comes into this Utility Forum, stirs the pot with his post, then isn't heard from again.
Now that is funny. He probably just comes back and reads a bit to see what he has stirred up,
I think he accomplished his goal, to stir the ol' Ute guys up

you have to look at it like this, I have two Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI's one of which is in the shop getting a fuel pump after its third day of riding but anyways. the EFI does start super quick. it has reverse which half of your damn sport models don't-well any of the good ones anyways. we utility quad owners buy our 4x4's for the mud, snow, woods, trails etc. I bought the 700 EFI's because at heart I wanted a speed demon but my wife wanted a utility, this was the best compromise I could come up with. the EFI's do 70plus on the pavement, have quick throttle response and can plow your driveway in the winter. I'd like to see you sport owners do that with your 2x4's. It's nice with the polaris automatic trans cause I can fly through the woods/trails like it's a sport model but can also stop with the all disc brakes and yes they do take cornes like a sport with the tire slides etc. most sports models usually have to stay in second or third gear to go woods riding, yes they're fast and quick but my 4x4 will run circles around your sports in probably every other event other than a straight path race. you can have fun and use your atv for real life stuff at the same time. this is the first utility quad I have ever owned and honestly would not go back to a sport model. you have to decide what you need the atv for and what you want to get out of your purchase. I wanted something fast and something I could do work with so the sportsman 700 EFI was my best choice. I do have a couple of problems with Polaris though, one is the fuel pump problems with the EFI's, the second is the noisy clutch/trans making a slap sound when getting on and off the gas, and finally the plastic that meets at the gas tank to fender areas don't seem to fit good. other than that I like the quad and I runs great so far. If I had to buy a sport model I would have to think about it, I like the ones with reverse because I like to ride in the woods and on the trails. if I had to have reverse I would buy a Yamaha Raptor 660, If I didn't need the reverse I would difinitley buy the Yamaha YFZ 450. it is a bad azz machine compared to its rivals like the honda 450R which only has a forward kick start. come on people, for starters if your going to buy a sport model buy quality YAMAHA is the best when it comes to sports. I have always bought yamaha until my recent purchase but I have never had any problems with them. every suzuki and honda I have had has been an endless nightmare. why not just be sensable and just buy a UTILITY and have fun all year round and be able to make money in the winter plowing driveways.
