To Much Power????
#32
Its only second to the BF in power and overall speed, I have about 850.00 or so in after market performance parts that added about 15hp to the rear wheels dyno proven befor and after modds on my twin peaks, so I am deffinanty thinking I would be able to give a BF a strong run for its money in an all out drag. I have almost the same performance upgrades on my P650 and it will run dead even if not beat a stock P700. I can deffinantly say if you are more of a sport or high performance rider you would not be dissapointed in the raw power and performance oriented handelling of the twin peaks, I use to ride a warrior then a Raptor and then a V-force about 3 times and sold it and bought the twin peaks. I have also owned a grizz 660, two different sportsman 500's and then bought the P650 and never wanted to Ride anything else. Tha P650 is still one of my all time favorite quads to Ride I still have it and ride it as much or more than my twin peaks (nothing wrong with the STP700 It just looks so good I hate to scatch it up so I have only beeen riding it at the dunes and a buddys farm). I always take my old P650 when go riding were I know its going to get rough and the trails tight. I was spanking a hopped up scambler 500 with a rider I must of outwayed by a 100lbs, just last weekend with my P650.
If I were going to buy another quad today it would be another blue twin peaks without a doubt. I know just on the price difference alone you should be able to slap some modds on it and compete with a BF. For what it would cost me to trade my STP700 for a BF, I can put a big bore 800 kit on my Twin Peaks and then even most true sport bikes would have a heck of time beeting it in a drag.
Well SIck660 there's my opinion on a twin peaks, I hope it helped answer your questions.

Ummm...is there any way i can contact u other then keep posting on here??? like AIM, or Yahoo I.M.
I now have quite a few other questions......i think i am sold on a blue twin peaks LOL
What all did u do to get THAT KIND of power! (15HP Gain)
How does it compare put up against a utility with IRS....does it handle really well for its size???

Most everhing out for the Prarrie 650' s also fitts the P700. As far as performance mods only, I have a K and N drop in filter, a dyna CDI box and A procircut headpipe and muffler. I also have ITP C series wheels with 25 dirthooks by bridgestone for tires.
the jetting is still stock and I am told its dead on.
Future plans : I put a deposite down at my performance quad shop to get all the parts ordered from dunlap for a big ore 800 kit inc. new high performance cams ect, ext. thats going to run a little under two grand by the time its finnished.
After getting a feel for the new motor I plan o go into the clutch to fine tune it for the new motor
also I will be determening rather to get one of penlands specail large core radiators . I am told I wont need to modify the cooling system so I am planning to do some light field testing to be sure befor going on any allday rides.
I ordered some maxxis bighorn radials on maxlight 8 spoke rims just for looks, I realy like the bridgstones and ITP C's but ever since I saw a grizz with the maxlite 8 spoke, bighorn combo on it I have been waiting for almost a year to get them, they just came out for the kawi's 4 on 137 bolt pattern this week so I was told by maxis today. I should have tnem by next week.
The big bore project starts next month when I get back from colorado.

I would also like to Yamaha drop the 660 in the wolverine and add a switchable 4wd to it and keep auto clutch or go manual clutch, That would be an awsome 4x4.

I would say its still not as big as a BF , That brute force is exactly that a brute, I waould say its the biggest d@mn quad I have ever seen and it deffinantly drarwfed the twin peaks that was parked right beside it
The basic plastic and chassis is the same as the current sportsman line for the poolaris 800, If you don't mind pulling a little extra maintenance from time to time, and the extra 2000.00 price tag, that 760 may be for you.
If large is what you are after I would recomend the Brute force and then the polaris 760 after that. Both are large IRS utility quads, they neitherone will have ride characteristics like a prarrie/twin peaks. The SRA p/stp700's have alot more adgile sporty feel to them nothing at all like a sportsman. I had two sportsman 500's and can tell you they were the smoothest riding quads I have ever owned, however I was, just borred to death when I rode them, there's just not much fun or sporty about IRS quads..

ughhh ....forget that! LOL i need it to be somewhat agile!
I sitll like the Twin Peaks....
I would never buy a polaris in the first place, but that thing is insane. I think that EFI could do more harm then good if you think about it!
So most of the prarrie parts fit the 700 right?
How do they react to mud? I would imagine i would need better tires, and could prolly get a few inches more clearance out of a larger tire also.
