Default Kodiak 450 Power ?

I'm thinking about getting a kodiak 450 but I wonder what you guys think about the power of this machine. I'm not really concerned about going 60mph, but looking for good low end and mid range grunt. I don't know if this is the machine for me or spend the extra money and go with the grizz. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

in my opinion the grizzly has alot more power and it is definatley worth the extra cash. the grizzly is also more of a work n' play machine

Hey, just curious but, if you're a Hondaguy, why do you have one red machine in a sea of Yamahas?

The Kodiak 450 is a great machine. If you're really planning on using it for hard work, the griz 660 may be better for you then. But if you're getting it for work and play, you can't go wrong w/ the Kodiak.

well i started off with 3 hondas and 1 yamaha and now it kinda of switched around. Now i bought a 450 and a grizz and kept the big bear and now we 3 yamahas and 1 honda, i was rasied also with hondas. I don't really care if i drive a honda or a yamaha they are both execellent brands of machines. Maybe in a few years i'll own a new big bore honda

Now see, on the work topic I disagree with ATV123, but to each his own. I dislike independent rear suspension for almost any kind of hauling or pulling work because it has a great tendency to "squat" under load. What's more, the Grizzly has one of the "softer and spongier" rear ends compared to some of the other IRS quads. I just don't really consider it one of the best all around work machines. Mud, snow and trails; heck yeah. My 2 cents.
