good response jj. and outrage i think you couldnt be more right. getting people to speak their opinions on a subject is hard when emotions get in the way. i ride a lot and find my 700 to be well worth it. the first day i had it was on a friday and i rode three days in a row and i never got sore. my vinson would beat me to death and the z400 was an absolute beast. as far as the fun factor, the z was probably the most impressive. i rode with several utlity machines who tried to stick me up. didnt happen, with the light weight and power i could point and squeeze and the z would go places they could not. so in reference to size and weight that is a major contributing factor. unless it was tooooo deeeeep the sporty would outgo any utility quad i have ever owned but the ride for the long hall was not there. therefore im now on the 700.

to be honest the reason i got the big bad brute was because i could not decide between the speed of a sport quad and the ability to go where ever i want. with the bf750 i got both. on the other hand my little wolverine is fun in its own rite due to the fact its light and meneuverable. honestly if i had to get rid of one it would be a hard decision.the brut has amazing power, it is impossible not to smile when you hit the gas. i have yet to find a need for all the power other than smiles, and bragging rights.

For flat land you may not need the power of a big bore, but for the toughest hillclimbs at least, bigger is better when it comes to engine size. I have seen steep sand hillclimbs where an 800cc utility ATV can ride a wheelie over the top, and a 500cc Honda Rubicon can't even make it 1/3 of the way up. So it just depends on where you ride, and how much power you need.

Stating that there is no place a big bore ATV can go that a mid-size ATV cannot go just shows inexperience.
