The dealer I bought my Prairie 360 told me a belt drive would do anything a gear drive would do but I found that wasn't the case. I have an ag. system I built which when pulled behind a belt drive machine the belts overheat real quick. I was going through belts real quick. That is why I bought the Traxtor which is a gear drive.

 

inlaws have a 2000 traxter, its a tank. the rear differential look more like it is out of a 3/4 ton truck. they have worked it pretty hard and never had a problem with it.

 

When I was at my local dealer, looking to buy a wolverine a few months ago, they had one in. I asked questions and he said its the ultimate work horse quad.
