Please let me know which of these tires would be my best choice, 26-12x12, 26-10x12, for a honda foreman 400. From what I can tell they look about the same, around the same weight and tread depth and even close to the same price, just wondering if anyone has either of the two, and if so what are your thoughts on them. thanks.

ive had quite a few mud tires and right now i have 26x10,26x12's on my Grizzly and i am EXTREMELY happy with them so far. they ride really good on trails and have yet to let me down in the mud and believe me i put mine to the test regularly. my vote is for the Gators. there is a place in Atlanta called treaddepot, they might have a site online but you can get them for less than $300 shipped. good luck

Tread depot does have some good prices. They do have a web site as well. They advertise in Dirt Wheels pretty much every month I believe. The link is www.treadepot.com

i have the gators on my rubicon and they are really good. i have quite a bit of miles and the seem to wearing real well. my brother has a set of 26"s on his prairie and they seem to go good as well. they are more of a flater or fatter profile than being tall. the ride is decent not real lumpy only on real hard surfaces at real slow speeds. the mudbugs are real popular as well. the only difference i think is the mudbugs tread looks a little more like pointing forwards compare to the gators. dont lnow if it is better or worse but i'm sure they are a good tire as well.

My co-worker has 27" gators on his 1997 artic cat 500 and they work great in the mud. My brother put 25" mud bugs on his kawa 360 4x4 prairie and they work great in the mud too. I think between the two, the gators have a very slight edge in mud, but the mud bugs have a very slight edge on hard back. In reality, both are very good and you can't go wrong with either.
