Winches
I have a warn 2.5 on the front (works great) and a cheap venom on the back (seems to work alright..only used it once). The thing that I don't like about the venom is the way that it free spools. The warn is probably worth the extra money it will always be there when you need it.

I say go for it. Buy One. Why not if it fails you're only out 100 bucks. You can buy 3 more and still not pay what a Warn cost.

Of course that includes the 3 walks out of the bush....

all suzukis in my "part of town" come with a warn winch so i was lucky in that respect.
If you have the winch and atv for a while that extra money spread over a few years isnt that much after all.
I guess which to get all depends on your priorities....its great to save money on certain things but
For the amount of money you spend on an ATV and other accessories, a warn winch is not that much more. Most guys have no problems spending lots of money on beer and smokes and junk food that would pay for the Warn in a few months.
Everyone has things they wouldnt think twice about spending money on and other things they scrimp on. I know a guy who buys all his clothes at a second hand store because he would Never spend a lot of money on clothes, but yet he spends $50 a month on new DVD movies, buys his lunch at work every day ( 100-150/month ), smokes a pack a day ( 200 ) a month, buys 3 take out coffee a day ( 80 - 100 / month ), etc etc.
Anyways, all im trying to say is
before deciding look at all your other expenses. maybe cutting out that take out coffe for a few months will pay the extra for a warn.
Heck, if I wanted to save money I could have bought an off brand ATV with an off brand winch
Oh yeah. I quit smoking a few years ago and my monthly payment on my ATV is less than what I spent on smokes. To think of all the money I spent on cigs over the years

i have had 4 warn winches and every one of them has been absolutely great and i get plenty of use out of my winches. i know when i am buried where i can't see my wheels i know that my warn will get me out. and i see you got a brand new atv you should have just gotten one with it. when i have bought my arctic cats i have always gotten one for free (supposed to pay the 69 dollars but i install them myself)

Hi I also have a warn 2000 and a 3000 for my atv's they work great and will work for a long time one of them is six years old and works like new. I was told if you go in a lot of water and mud you should run the winch all the way out and back in once in a wile if you dont use it for a wile. I also use mine on my snow plow in winter. good luck
