Default Snow!

Been a fairly dry winter here, only about a foot and a half on the ground now. I has also been colder than usual so the snow I have pushed is like pushing salt.

When your plowing, you need to make a ramp to stack the snow high. I use the following technique:

Bank snow as normal until the blade wont stack it higher.

Raise the blade about 4-6 inches off the ground.

Lean as far back on the rack as you can.

Hit the snow bank at a decent speed, if done correctly, the blade should ride up the snow knocking over the top 1/2 of the bank. Repeat with varying blade heights, and adding more snow until you have a decent ramp, the more you drive up it, the more that snow compacts making it easier to stack snow higher. I've stacked snow at least 10' high to the top of the ramp, kinda like driving up a hill and depositing your load on the far side.

Oh, and if you have wet sticky snow sticking to the balde, spray the blade with no stick aerosol cooking spray....works wonders on snowblower shutes that clog with wet sticky snow too.

I'm jealous of you guys, normally by now I don't see any grass at all but half my yard is exposed due to the strange winter we're having so far. Gets cold, snows, gets warm rains, rinse lather and repeat.
