I personally like my Kawi locker. I like to be in controll of when it is locked and when it isn't. Just like I want control over my front and rear brakes seperatly. You can buy pen-locker deals from HL that hold it locked like the parking break if you want for pretty cheap. I have never had myne slip or not lock up. I hear about some other guys having that problem in real deep stuff with big tires but that is expected.

oh, now why do the knuckleheads have to start picking on Honda, particularly those that live in glass houses. As far as second-rate performing simplistic CVTs go, its common knowledge Kawasaki has the worst performing belt drive of the bunch. Settling for that I can understand that you wouldn't get it. Oh the horror stories he tells about Hondas (of someone he knew blah blah blah). I can replace my tranny and still make as much off of resale as your Kawi (depreciation really takes a toll on a brand like Kawasaki). And what's with the cultist label, if someone happens to own a Honda they are a cultist? I thought it was an American brand that was a cult? There are some hard-headed Honda owners in this forum, but for the most part I think I see more from another brand. The streak seems to run with 'big bore' owners as well, buy a big quad and think they are an authority. Most of the Honda owners I see are the experienced riders with an open mind.

I don't think Kodiak660s example has anything to do with brand. Any dummy should know it has a whole lot more to do with weight, tires, and technique. Heavy quads suck in the snow, regardless of brand or type of 4wd, but Polaris is not TRUE 4wd unless you are in the Polaris marketing department or a sucker. All that weight and not being locked in 4x4 and you are going to get stuck sooner than others. I know - I have to be careful not having a locker, but we got 21" of snow yesterday and I was able to get around. The snow was up past my floorboards. No locker.

If you can't see where you are going, just point and fire!
your life story? (or is that our V.P.?), clueless
we hear from yet another brainwashed member of the honda cult,, easy killer.. i got a feeling this isn't the end of this, OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!!!!!!!! wayout, out...................

Having owned Yamaha's my whole life I'm far from being a Honda cultest.
I just love pulling the plug on any rider who thinks his quad is hands down the best quad in the snow.....because thats not what the facts are.
I have proven it to many out on the trail ride after ride.
Some people will never believe (My) Rancher is near unstoppable until they have seen it for themselves.
And I love going riding with those people.....we all have a good time.....and at the end of the day they know the truth.
I'm not some kid who thinks his quad is the best ever made.
In fact the Rancher is underpowered, lacks 2wd,locker,smooth ride, and a soft seat.
But set up the way I have it right now it is Awesome in the snow......I'm not talking about going out riding and pulling other quads in 6 ft of powder.....the snow I ride on is on the ground 7 months out of the year. It builds a base....a base that you have to baby yourself thru at times......certain types of 4x4 systems dont do worth a darn in it where we ride. The Polaris system is one of them.
I posted a link to a ride where we had 5 different quads....most of us had never met.......we set up the ride in the "where to ride" section in this very forum.
I asked wayout to go there and read it to show my proof for my statement..........did he?
I doubt that he did.....do a search on his other posts on this forum and you will see what he is all about.

The Hondamatic is the best transmission in the business, case closed. Anyone who has ridden one and is honest will tell you the same. It is bulletproof, so you do NOT replace it. It has no rubberband. It has several different power modes. It is actually more power-efficient than a belt-driven CVT. You have your opinion and that's fine, but mine is that it's a matter of time before this is the industry standard.

no snow machine, you're proofing my point, ain't you got some poor stranded ATV SOMEWHERE to pull through all that snow,by the way have you ever pulled another honda out of winter wonder land;;; FOR GODS SAKE MAN SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!!!! wayout, out..........p.s.to whom it may concern; my handle has nothing to do with polaris by the way, i got that nickname years ago because i know all the trails, we would go ridding and the guys would say man where in the name of god are we; then they would say that i knew the way out not to worry, thus the name wayout was borned....... i don't need a gps like doug meyers, my gps is in my head....
