I have a friend who wants to get a big utility. Since Im a sport quad person i cant help him out here. what is the best one for speed an handling an which ones are better than others. just looking for opinions. He has ideas like grizzly or praire or brute.

 

If he wants good power and handling look at the BF650 or the P700. The Bf750 has awesome power but lacks in handling with out spending a little $$$.

 

check out the Outlander 650 or 800 but they are a litttle $pendy. The Brute is also a nice machine.
My brother has a Cat 500 and he loves it

 

Ilove my 650V2 cat and it out powers the sp700, i think its got the same or similar motor(V-Twin) as prairie and Bf, but its not a cheap machine (around 7,000)

 

My friend has a kaw p700 and he love it. I really like is p700

If you want the best high speed handling get the Rincon. If you want good handling & power get the KQ as the IRS choice or the 700/650 whatever it is Brute for the solid axle choice.

 

Ultimate Speed & Handling, Sacrifice Comfort: Kawasaki Prairie 700.

Good Speed & Handling, Good Comfort: Suzuki KingQuad 700.

Great Handling and Comfort, Sacrifice Some Power: Honda Rincon 680.

Best of All Worlds, Lot More Money: Bombardier Outlander 800.

This is seriously what it shakes down to based on what you've said. Some better details about how he would ride would be very helpful. Tell him that if he's considering a Grizzly, he may as well forget that and look at the KingQuad because it's honestly just a Grizzly improved in about every category and has EFI to boot.

 

I agree with about everything Redgobblin said, except I have not seen or even read an article comparing the Rincon to the KQ, so am still open to the possabilty the honda might not be much different in the power department than the KQ, but historicly Honda does not go big power in there disigns so Redgobblin will most likely be proven correct on that as well. I have just read some articles really touting the improved power and engine resposiveness of the new EFI Rincon so I will remain open minded on its performance for now. That said the Rincon is more money than the KQ. Its priced more like the BF750 than other 700 class machines.

 

I have ridden them back to back (the 650 version), there is no comparison power wise. The extra few ccs won't close the gap.
