Utility Riders: What do you take?
Short trips I have a soft sided insulated rear bag that I carry water, jacket, jerky and a candy bar or two and a few tools and a tow strap.
Longer trips I put on the larger hard plastic rear trunk. I will load up the ATV, camp and travel hundreds of miles with just what I am able to carry so you learn to pack only necessary item and no extras.

I have a tool box with plug kit, small air pump tow strap, snach block, leatherman, water, snacks, small first aid kit. If I go for a ride while camping or just a long ride (80 plus miles) i also take a small gas can and a winch extension cable that is 100' and jacket. It depends on what type, and wear you ride. I wont get any where with out a plug kit and a small hand/bike pump.

I carry an electric AC air pump, Tire Kit, buttwipe, rope about 100', Kinfe, hand saw, flashlight LED, tool kit, water and some snacks.
Nice thing is it all fits under my seat
On longer rides I'll bring more gear, but for my usual day rides that suffices.

I always have a cheap rope type plug kit, and a mini-foot pump in the trunk.
One of those Rocky Mountain winch accessory kits lives on my front rack (gloves, snatchblock, a couple of tree straps, extra tow strap), and I usually use a soft side rear rack.
Most of the time I just grab the same Camel Back I use for mountain bike riding, which always has a couple power bars, pocket kleenex (doubles as TP), a really small first-aid kit, and a multi tool.
