actually - not for a while, I retired as a diesel mechanic almost 20 years ago. I shouldn't have said all. However, it isn't hard to find out what CAT's powerful diesels are, like the 7500 hp 3618 (a V18) or maybe Cummins V16s....unless you are talking about the little engines used in smaller OTR trucks and not marine, locomotives or BIG trucks like the CAT 797 (V-24). Now I do know that there is a company in Japan that makes some mammoth 100,000HP inline 2 stroke diesels, but my point was that V configurations are common place and really the norm in high output diesels.

are you intentionally insulting me?

it doesn't say anywhere that it is a v twin it just says it is a twin. but like said i was thinking is this gonna be a flop like the polaris diesel? all that engineering and time wasted? i guess time will tell. and i love that lil magazine

what's cool about it is that you can run it on like 5 different types of fuel, like biodiesel

I read that Roush (Racing) designed the engine (inline twin)
