They have plastic skid plates, and the frames are lighter. My buddies frame has been welded and gusseted in several places. He harescrambles his, but I don't think a heavier frame like my Polaris would give way like that! I have never done a harescramble, but I just don't think mine would break very easy. Maybe I'm wrong. The axles are much smaller than Polaris. The tires are very weak/light, and most people put different ones on. Polaris puts on a tire that is very good for a stocker. These are just a few areas that I know of that are weak parts causing the Grizz to be lighter. You go and beef up the tires, frame, and axles, obviously you are getting closer to the Polaris weigh in. I am not ******* the Grizz, I am just stating the fact of why they weigh less! Plain and simple, there is less quad there to weigh!

Same goes for AC, they are built very strong, and able to load them down and climb a mountain

oh and now i have to get a limited slip for the front of my grizz. man im going to pa and get the scoop. now im soooo glad i came here and found what i need. im going to weld the polaris to the rear of the grizz and put limited slips all the way around. then we have the best of both worlds. then im going to get my one ton frame done in titanium so it dont fold. then we can haul our polarihaw to the woods with our limited slips. and we can even haul our cooler full of food.. oh my prozac, prozac anyone
