Problems with 05 Grizz
#1
Hi, I have an 05 grizz that hasn't been getting power to both rear wheels( left tire spins and right one doesn't). This is not an isolated problem, my buddy has the same exact bike as mine with the same mileage and it is doing the same exact thing. Just wondering if anybody has ever heard of that happening before to their grizz, and if you have ,what was the problem? Thanks

i have an o3 that ive broken rear axles in. stock ones that is. maybe u should try jacking up the rear. and see if both wheels are locked together. if u turn one. the other should turn as well. if u hold one. the other should not turn. when my axle broke, of course it quit pulling on one wheel. ive broken them both. it now has gorillas in it. so u may have a cv that has broken. but you will have to get it in the air to try to isolate where its at. it could be an outer or inner joint. when u spin the wheel. see if the shaft spins too. or if the shaft is turning does the inner joint turn with it.. ill bet u could find out where its at this way. . but just get it up in the air.. hope that helps

Do a search on 660 axle and read away. The 03 where the worst but the newer ones just cut it barely. When I park my ATV next to my friends 03 Grizzly we just cant believe the difference in diameter of the Axles. If you do need to change them ,screw Yamaha and go to Gorilla. I know Yamaha was doing every trick in the book to cut weight but the Axles is just not a part to lighten up on.
You also may be lucky and its just the Grizzly,s C clip problem. Read about it here
