From that list, i would get the Grizzly. No interest in Arctic Cat?

From what limited I've read on the AC it seemed like more of a workhorse. It did beat the griz and rancher to 30mph though. But honestly I am leaning toward the KQ 450. Anything bad about that bike?

The Eiger has a really nice ride and works pretty well. The new Rancher is likely snappier with EFI and liquid cooling. The 450 King Quad is likely snappy, too, and is physically larger and IRS...

You might also consider looking at a leftover 500 Vinson auto...

You should be able to pick up a Grizzly 450 for about that if you shop hard enough.

I would look into either a Yamaha Wolverine (good susp but down on power) or a Polaris Scrambler. These are both sporty 4x4s. They come with no racks, but you can get some small ones.

If your getting a utility ATV make sure it has a low range sub transmission. Anyone who owned a ATV with a low range will tell you it is a must. Even for slow technical trail it transforms a ATV into a tank.

Utility ATV without a low range are just doing a cost cutting measure ,I think. A Utility without a low range? might as well get a sport ATV.

The Suzuki Eiger is the ONLY 400 4x4 with a limited slip front differential

The front limited slip differential works as good as any locker

In fact it works BETTER than a locker cause you can steer it while both front wheels grip for traction

with a locker enguaged you have to have the wheels straight, impossible to steer

Also the Eiger has selectable 2 or 4 wheel drive with high and low range plus reverse

With the Eiger in 2 wheel drive its just as fast and handles as good as any racing, sport atv in its class

With the Eiger in 4 wheel drive it will go anywhere any 4x4 with a locker can go

its a no-brainer! The Suzuki Eiger is the best ATV you can buy!

Thats a good statement for argument. I for one believe a manual locker is the way to go. Limited slip usually transfers power back and forth between wheels. A locker locks in both front wheels for maximum traction.
