I also found the Bighorns to be a touch on the heavy side for the 450 Kodiak I was putting them on. A guy at my local Yamastore has them on his and he said the same thing.

Also add the new Mude lite XXL. 30 inchs tall and 11 inchs wide. If i knew i could sqeeze them on my Moto 4 i would buy them. Plus i have regular mud lites and i have never had a problem with them. But i never climbed big rocks. I just mud ride and log climb with them.

Id be curious to see the weight differences between the weight of the two tires. but I can bet it probably is more than a total of 10 pounds between the 2 tires

I am between the 25" Bighorns or 26" XTR's. I do not like all the talk about weak sidewalls... Afterall spending $100 a tire, that sucker better be of good quality! Especially and ITP Tire.

This discussion is almost getting down to the Chevy/Ford Truck debate... It is whatever you like and have LUCK with

For sure CraZy... but I think most would agree Chevy Trucks are better.

KaPow... KaKaChow!!!

Really though... I said it before... It's a personal taste thing. Like Coke or Pepsi, Steak or Chicken, Reebok or Nike, Dylan or The Beatles, Regular or Premium Gas, Pam Anderson or Carmen Electra... Neither is really better. Except in the Anderson/Electra debate... I just wouldn't want to have to choose... I'll take both thanks!!!Eh?!

The biggest problem I see with ITP tires is they are out of round and hard to balance. Where as Max xis are at lest kind of round.

my 2007 Grizzly 450 came with MAXXIS tires. They where new tires for the 2007 model Grizzly/Kodiak 450. So far this tire is pretty good for a stocker... I have gone through some mud my buddies didn't think I would... Unfortunately my budget doesn't allow for new tires yet.... so I am staying with the stockers and hopefully by mid-summer I can get my new tires..

Yeah Steve the Maxxis tires were more than adequate stock. I woldn't have wanted to change them but I had the cake or dough if you will to give mine a little "curb appeal". But those Maxxis stockers I had about 400 Kms on and at least 200 Kms were turnin' up muck. Impressive.
