<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>The diesel sound and smoke is what I like about diesels. they just have such great low end power . </end quote></div>

Because the Gasoline ATVs have a low range I do not see the diesels advantage even for hard work or pulling.

A diesel would be like having a gas motored ATV stuck in low range forever.

Diesels develop their max torque at lower rpms compared to a gasser. This allows them to last longer-less wear and tear-and pull/carry higher loads at lower rpms than a gasser, which can result in better fuel economy, depending on vehicle use.

Before I rode it I would put a turbo on it. Their is no reason not to turbo it just look at pickups before the Dodge turbo

I bet that thing would have no trouble turning over some really big and agressive mud tires (outlaws). I'm curious if the mudders have taken a look into these?

I bought an AC diesel back in 07 few months after they come out. And it does have a **** load of torque. It pulled my 3/4ton diesel truck out of a mud hole once. I also put some 27x12x12 mud bitches on it. It does alright in the mud but if it ever hits bottom you better have a couple wheelers with you to pull it out. The only bad part about muding with it is where they put the battery and where it gets air to the airfilter they are are the back and kinda low so you cant go through to deep of mudd or water.

How much does it smoke when you get on it. I think that would be the coolest quality.

Just remove the front rack, front plastics, and then the
stock air intake, which is just above the radiator.

Once the stock air box is removed you are left with two 2"
rubber boots coming out from under your handlebar/pod
area, just grab some metal strappy pipe clamp thingys shove
in a pvc or abs elbow, cut a couple holes in the black plastic
pieces that run under your front rack for them to come up
through and your done.

Not the best quad for running deep water, but for some
insurance for those times the puddle turns out deeper than
it looked it's a good idea to snork the air intake, plus diesels
don't need to be rejetted or anything so easier breathing is
an all around positive thing...

Air intake is on top of the radiator at the front...
the rear snorkel is actually just the exhaust for
transmission cooling fan...
