warn winch problem
Pictures no.. but it is the winch still together? but off the quad?

I couldn't find a manual which describes how to install a new cable...
If so I would remount it and get a good thick pair of gloves and a buddy... Then while putting tension on the cable Reel it "IN" and just wrap the cable around the drum one layer from left to right, then start the second layer from right to left, and so on and so on.
I generally re-wrap my winch cable after any extreme winching... you hardly ever do it right on the spot on the trail.. I usually have a slight upward slope and attach the cable to a tree, then with my remote I reel it "IN" as I guide the cable on the drum.
