Default OK to prop a utility quad on its butt?

I have a 2007 Suzuki Eiger 400 and was wondering if it can be set upright on the rear rack. It says in the manual that it can but it just seems like fuel and other fluids would leak. Any opinions? I know this whole thread just covered this but i wondered if it would be any different with the Eiger.

Just shut off the fuel petcock, and prop it up.
