right now it's a toss up between blackwaters and kenda - by the way I found the rim size in my service manual - 6.0 front 7.5 rear
no wonder my tires look so skinny

Jeepers,

ITP blackwaters and kenda bearclaws? You just said kendas so I wasnt for sure. I know one thing, the bear claws are alot more flat resistant. Ask gordon about his blackwaters. What size are you going to put on? You have a kodiak? Thats a 400 right?

yeah it's a 2000 Kodiak water cooled 400 - nice quad - I found a site (tiresunlimited.com) that gives some of the tire weights. blackwaters are 22 lbs each while the bearclaws are 35 lbs each, quite a difference ! I'm keeping my ears open to see if anyone has had any problems spinning that much weight. I know I need a pipe and jetting but White Bros, my favorite, won't have one available for about another month

Be sure and check the ply on the tires, it's as important as the traction. 4-6 plys are more apt not to puncture and go flat than are the 2 ply, it seems they always get punctured easily.
