1995 Yamaha Timberwolf Idling
I am new to buying and tinkering with ATV's and I have a 1995 Yamaha Timberwolf that in order to start of course in cold weather I choke it and let it run until it is warmed up. When I go to push the choke back in it acts like it wants to die. I have messed with a screw on the side right under the seat which seems to be the air to fuel valve. I have ran it all the way out and all the way in while it is choked and it revs up while being choked but it wont stay running after I push the choke back in. I have also had carbs cleaned and checked out. I dont know what else to do to make this thing run. I hope there is someone out there who can help. I just want this thing to run and do just the basic utility items and i cant even get it to do that now. Please help!!!!!!

well i had the same proublem with my 97 timberwolf 4x4 i was just about ready to put her on a load of junk for the scrap yard.i was talking to a guy in texas who sells atv parts he told me that the slow jet in the carb needed to be bigger.that is the small jet.so i found out that mine had a #20 and i changed it to a #40 and you just say the word start and that yamaha starts right up. i never use the choke unless it is in the 20s or colder.
