Will this work to replace the switch on my Warn A2000?
#1
I have a Warn A2000 on my 2000 Kodiak. I use the winch to raise and lower my snow plow among other things. With the Iowa winter closing in, I put the snow plow on my Kodiak only to find the winch wasn't working. I isolated the problem to the switch - the old DPDT rotary switch which I never cared for.
I'm looking to convert my A2000 to a rocker switch. I'm not terribly interested in the upgrade kit from Warn since it's over $100 and I don't really see the advantage.
From what I've read so far, it appears I need a contactor and a rocker switch to convert.
Would this cheap one off ebay work or would I regret it?
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
Would this be a better route to go?

and
Amazon.com: WARN 64851 Replacement Mini Rocker Control Switch: Automotive
Just trying to find the best solution for replacing the crappy rotary switch that's broken.
Thanks in advance!!!

Does the warn rotary switch you have now go through a contactor or does it run from the switch direct to the winch motor? If it has a contactor, you can just put the rocker switch on it. If it does not have the contactor, I'd buy the kit you posted from ebay, it should work fine.
