Default winch draining battery while utv is shut off

I recently installed a 4000lb kfi winch on my 2012 polaris ranger 800. Everything with the winch works fine except for this last week I noticed my battery getting weak when I try to start it. I got my meter out and started checking connections. I found that the plug in on my dash for the extension switch was drawing .06 volts while the ranger was shut off. Keep in mind that the battery is only 5 months old and the winch was just installed 1 month ago and has only been used once. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated

I would assume that your solenoid for the winch is bad. Check to see if you have any voltage at the winch itself. I had this happen to me and my winch. There was a little bit of current going to the wich motor itself.
