Muddoggie,
What did you do to replace that copper connector? Can you get a new one anywhere?

don't buy the superwinch. Several people I know have had nothing but trouble with the rocker switch.
I personally have a warn 2000. You will spend a little more on the warn but it is worth it. If you want the best get a ramsey 2500 it comes with a wireless remote and a mounted toggle switch control. It pulls more and is faster than either the superwinch or warn and draws less amps than either. Take a look at ramsey's internet site for spec. and comparisons. You should be able to get a ramsey for $400.00 PLUS $50.00 for Mounting plate. check it out. (www.ramsey.com)

I just installed my Ramsey and mount on my 700 last week. $400 for the winch from Northern Tool and $55 for the mount directly from Ramsey. Great setup. Choice of the wireless remote or the mounted toggle switch! I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Muddoggie,
I found the copper connectors at a hardware store. I put some JB weld inside and attached them. It worked fine. Theanks for the info on stretching the cable.

As for replacment of copper end./(I did not replace it) the cable end fit into the winch housing. (Just make sure that you tighten the allen screw very snug, before installing your replacement cable.)TextTextEnjoy your winch...Jb

Dillis 23, what you are looking for is a cable lock, you can get them from the same place you got the cable. Hope this helps.

Ok, here's an update. I did buy the Warn 2500 and was wiring it up today. I was wondering how you guys connected the power to the winch. Is it ok to run power right from the battery? (No fuse)

Is the A2000 easy to disassemble? I royally screwed up my cable. It got caught on the side of the drum while winching at an angle. Basically it ate through the cable. Should I just send it into Warn?

The cables are really easy to change. Did you screw up the drum? I have had to replace my cable at least once every year. I do alot of snow plowing, and the angle is just to great and it cuts rigt thru the cable. Even with roller fairlead, it still cuts thru.
