I will have to say 500i and 500act arctic cat these two have lots of torque and are good work horses. Plus they have more wieght on the front end which makes all the difference between arctic cat and the other machines, when it comes to pulling.

Still the number 1 machine for heaviest load pulling is the traxter, Put any other ATV back to back with one and it will win evertime. So if your working and pulling it is the best machine for sure, the cat is number 2 as it is very capable also but not quite as much as a traxter. For polaris well there great as long as the rear wheels are spinning as the 4*4 only kicks in when it spins, other then that slow going work is ruled by the bomb and the cat.
And they are both good on fuel.

Well lads, just picked up my 2002 traxter XT, and does she ever look fine. Well I went with the traxter as it is no doubt the best puller out there, that is what there were designed to do, work and play not just play. They were the most over built machine I found, and they give a 3 year bumper to bumper warrenty, what else can you ask for. The top end is not bad, 55mph, atleast I won't be left in the dust. Anyhow as for this topic, the Traxter first, AC manual second for sure. Can't go wrong with them either, just a slower machine thats all, with no locking front end. but they are really tough too.

The Suzuki KingQuad and the Suzuki QuadRunner 500 are the best pullers. The KingQuad is only a 280 but it all comes down to torque. It has a High, Low and Super Low range and Differential Lock. The top speed in first gear Super Low is about 3 mph. If you get a Suzuki or an Artic Cat you are getting the same engine and drivetrain. So what is said about AC can also be said about Suzuki.

Actully don't get the SP 700, wrong wrong, first off Belts can't match gears second the SP 700 got pulled around by a traxter XT in dirtwheels Mag, they made mistake and called it a Quest. Another thing engine size has nothing to do with it, it is tranny, gears, and weight, and its been proven a 500 single cylinder beat a 700 twin.
The power of a Traxter can't be matched, the closest is the AC 500 manual in real pulling and working, the only thing the AC is missing is a locking front diff, thats it.

Everyone always leaves out the largest factor to any ATV's ability and that is the rider. If you don't know the proper way to do the job with the machine you have, then it doesn't matter if you have a 250 2x4 or a 900 4x4.

As far as belts go, I love always being in the right gear especialy hill climbing and mudding.
