manual shift, i guess there's nothing wrong with an auto, but i prefer shifting...especially in a ute, seen to many auto tranny quads in water slippin & slidin and making all kinds of funky noises....heard about people slippng belts when towing and I personally seen one (brand new Quad by the way) slip when climbing over a fallen tree... but then again,,I believe the honda's dont use belt drive,

Auto. Have had the auto with belt drive and now have a Honda auto. Will never go back to the belts.

Ridden them both and I prefer the auto. But not the belt drive auto's. I've had the belt drives and honda's fluid drives and prefer the Honda's by far.
