ATVgurl has a very good point about the Recon suspension... It pretty much beats you up if you're in the seat a lot. I ride my littlest girl in front of me quite a bit...she looks like a little ping pong ball on the Recon. She prefers the Warrior for that very reason. Getting home after a day's ride with aches and pains from being bounced around all day could possibly make a person think twice about going again.

 

If your looking at a used prairie 300/400 try to get one from 1999 or newer. There were several changes for the better starting in 1999 when they introduced the 300.

 

Thanks to everone for your input! I decided on and purchased a 200 Prairie 300 with 114 hours on it in showroom condition. I pick it up on Tuesday and it will be under the "tree" for her when we get back from our trip to her sister'f for Christmas.
